How do you ask a question in Latin?
As in English, we can indicate a question in Latin by ending the sentence with a question mark as opposed to a period or other terminal punctuation. When the question mark is present, we need to be careful to translate the sentence appropriately! ex urbe vēnērunt.
What are the Nine question words?
We have nine WH question words: what, when, where, which, who, why, whom, whose, and how. Some questions are formed with adverbs. These ask for information about time, place, reason, or manner.
How does Latin form yes no questions?
Forming a yes or no question in Latin can be relatively simple. You add the enclitic interrogative particle -ne to the end of the first or most important word in the sentence. It's not like English where word order determines everything (does it? It does!).
